Philip provides business law advice across a wide variety of industry sectors including manufacturing, wholesale & retail sales, personnel, agency, agriculture, food production, construction contracts, securities, transport and logistics, commercial property, technology and computer technology.

Philip acts in a general counsel role for many of our clients as well as being typically involved in matters such as:

  • Strategy, negotiation, advice and drafting contracts for a diverse range of commercial situations including for the acquisition, sale and/or restructure of businesses and assets, joint ventures, shareholder arrangements, partnerships, licensing, manufacturing, distribution and export arrangements, confidentiality deeds, construction contracts, finance documentation and commercial trading terms and conditions.

  • Supervising and coordinating complex due diligence reviews and advice for business acquisitions or sales.

  • Commercial leasing.

  • Property acquisition & sale, subdivision and real property securities.

  • Advice and documentation as a consequence of the Personal Property Securities Act 2009.

Philip is also an experienced Notary Public having been appointed by the Archbishop of Canterbury in 1990. He is frequently called upon to assist our clients with a variety of international documentation, the preparation of Certificates of Good Standing, verifications of documents and identity, legalisation of documents and obtaining Apostilles from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
